No one knew if people would social distance and how effective it would be - those 2 unknowns can make any model vary widely. Global pandemics don't happen often, so there isn't a lot of data to train the models.

ABC, that number - 731 - was being reported at noon for NY. Did no one else die the entire day? I hope that's true, but seems impossible. I hope the count wasn't suppressed. I checked the numbers hourly all day and I can't come up with a rational explanation.
