My dad passed away in 2004 on Leap Day at 12:01 a.m. midnight. The Dr. said it was not worth the paperwork so he changed the Death Certificate to 2/28/2004 at 11:49 p.m. Very memorable time.

I gave birth to my child on my 25th birthday. It isn’t leap year but the odds are still slim.

"The odds of parents sharing leap day birthday are one in 2.1 million, according to the hospital." This would be correct (1461 x 1461 = 2.134 MM) when looking at any random child-parent pairing but, since there are two parents, this number gets cut in half to 1.067 million. 1/2

If one of the parents was born on February 29th, the odds of that particular person having their child's birthday match theirs is only 1 in 1461 (365 days x 4 years + 1 day). 2/2
