Costa Mesa, California, filed a legal action after learned federal officials planned to use its Fairview Development Center to house & quarantine several patients who tested positive for the COVID-19 virus.The city said it was given little notice, without input, about the plan.

Do they seriously expect lengthy notice and the opportunity to modify the plan of a federal emergency response? Sometimes it’s appropriate to balk at orders. This wasn’t one of those times.

More California stupidity. It is a quarantine site. Other than medical professionals, who are protected, who will they encounter? And, the containment areas are designed for such a situation.

I still don't get how everything I've read said there are like 36 diagnosed cases in the US but there are at least 70 patients waiting to be moved? Literally doesn't add up

Several closed military bases in isolated areas from the populous that could be used to house and care for our unfortunate virus victims. If we can set up entire military bases in a couple of days in the harshest environments in the world, we can set up these existing bases.
