Ironically on the day of the disaster. The company I was working for was introducing a new insurance product named the Challenger. It was a sad day.

You always remember where you were, what you were doing. I remember telling my parents the night b4 that they shouldn’t go on the mission. Something bad would happen. I was in 6th grade, driving back home from vacation when it was announced. We were all like I/she was right.

I was 12, in 6th grade, sitting in the cafeteria as they let us watch the launch. I was a devoted Space Shuttle fan, and I was one of the first people to immediately recognize that the Shuttle had exploded. A good portion of my childhood innocence died that day.
