teachers unlike other jobs have plenty of off time....they should protest on their own time
-
Teachers don’t get off time, they usually have to have second jobs to pay bills during their “off time”

Why be a Teacher if you're gonna go on strike. They're supposed to do it for the purpose & outcome never the money.
-
That's unfair because they need a living wage too. So many teachers have to pay for supplies out of their own pockets. They have overcrowded classrooms. They have to be a educator, parent, babysitter, therapist and social worker all rolled into one person.

Time to give VOUCHERS to the students. Public Schools are not providing the education needed for the future of our young. VOUCHERS VOUCHERS

Teachers are on strike because the city refuses to agree to an enforceable contract to provide desperately needed services, including exactly those for special needs students. The tweet misrepresents the article, which features families’ support for the strike.
