A woman’s choice to willfully increase their infants risk of SUDI? Why would any mother or father take that risk? Pro choice doesn’t mean willful ignorance to science.

For starters that photo shows an unsafe practice... Safer to sleep a baby on their back
-
Photo shows back sleeper. And back sleeping used to be considered more dangerous due to choking hazard. It also prevents peaceful sleep when baby startles as all do.

It’s a shame survey wasn’t also given to dads or other primary caregivers. Shouldn’t all be on the mom.

Hysterical trend of the moment. I raised seven kids, coslept for years with all, placed them on stomachs per the instructions of the era. We all thrived. They are now middle-aged, happy, healthy. Grain of salt, people. Nobody has all the answers. SIDS causes are unknown.
-
Waking up every 5 minutes to make sure the baby didn't roll over onto their back is exhausting! I did it as a new mom until my mom told me to "leave that damn baby alone! She's fine!". She's 11 now and has been belly sleeping since 2 weeks old

Because people actually want their babies to sleep! Sleeping on their backs is not natural so cut it out. SIDS is real and you can do everything "right" and the baby still dies. Stop scaring people just like y'all do with women who don't breast feed. Stop the damn shenanigans
-
SIDS happens due to accidental suffocation why would you put your child on her stomach and gamble with her life when babies don't have the ability yet to move their bodies if they can't breathe
