What happened after Newtown, Pulse, Parkland, Las Vegas, the craziness in Chicago... my prayers to this women and every family across our violent country.

Precisely what she didn’t want. We should stop saying this stuff to make ourselves feel better and actually do something like call our representatives or vote for people who believe in reasonable gun reform.
-
Obama said it best. Once we did nothing after Newtown when 5-year-olds where slaughtered. He knew laws were never going to change. It’s sad and scary. Think about it. Her child was at the Las Vegas shooting. What law has changed?

I'm sorry for her loss but California has some of the US strictest gun laws and this still happened. Look at the root cause which is mental illness
-
Strictest in the US. Very lax by international standards. I live in a country with properly strict gun laws. We have no mass shootings. Full stop. End of argument.

@realDonaldTrump This is what raw heartbreaking grief looks like you dick! Imagine if it were Barron at his private school. Nothing is private any more...or safe. DO SOMETHING! -
Trump: “Barron who?”
-
Exactly.

Elliot, this is more of an argument for why handling gun control at a state level cannot be as effective as handling it at a federal level...which we aren’t really doing.
-
We do handle it at a federal level: National Firearms Act of 1934, Gun Control Act of 1968, Firearms Owners’ Protection Act of 1986, Brady Act of 1993, Child Safety Lock Act of 2005, National Instant Criminal Background Check System Improvement Amendments Act of 2007

The House must draft new gun laws, much tougher ones, and the senate must pass them. Failing to do so will only show the
@GOP true colours and their little interest to serve and protect the American people. -
California has the strictest gun laws in the country. This man shot into his mother’s house back in April and was admitted to a mental hospital and then was cleared. Why did he not have a weapons seizure? Your government programs failed yet again.
-
They should have taken him in for further evaluation and if they found he was a danger to himself or other they should have taken before a judge and been adjudicated as being mentally ill and he would not be allowed to purchase our own a gun.

The guy snapped all the laws in the world wouldn’t have stopped this ...
-
Only another gun owner could have prevented this by shooting back at him! Gun laws aren't going to change anything!
