What are the charges? Having a dark sense of humor?

As bad as that “joke” was, I’m not sure why this should be illegal. The real problem is interfering in what people are doing peacefully in their private capacity without harming anyone! We should be afraid.

That was vile, but what is more vile is a government that would arrest people over mere speech, no matter how vile. Nice place to visit, wouldn't want to live there.

#LiberalLogic DonT LET THEM HAVE POWER! Comedy will be outlawed.#BiasMedia#Oppression -
I thought liberals were pro-burning their own private property.

Vile.....
. Disgusting.......
. Hate crime......??? I think that’s a stretch (or at least would be in the US). Maybe some misdemeanor open burning violation, but that’s about all.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Arrested for a video. Oh, England, you anti-free-speech pool of cess.

If apparently being stupid and disgusting is now an arrestable offense, there will never be enough jails. It does seem they were arrested for being rowdy and having the bonfire. Making the effigy of the apartment building the "headline" gets more attention.

While morally reprehensible, I think London is off base in calling it a "hate crime". I do believe that the social media Platforms in which the video was posted should absolutely take the video down immediately.

It's kind of like burning a cross on a lawn. If you don't get the criminal aspect of this you're delusional. Admittedly the kind of stupid crime you expect of 12 year olds but grown ass men should know better.
-
and that justifies adding a criminal record to their lives? Burning a cross was historically followed by violence against someone therefore it's meaning is expressively violent. Burning a replica tower for shits and gigs is not
-
Thinking before you act on stupid impulses is usually the first step to avoiding a criminal record starshine.pic.twitter.com/cTh3LfBm0z
-
But the fact is that this is a harmless act regardless of how impulsive it may or may not have been. I wouldn't have done this but they have every right to do it
-
Well at this point it seems like it's the court that will decide that. I think there could be very productive ways to educate them without a criminal conviction but I am not familiar with the British legal system so I can't really speak to their flexibility in sentencing.
-
I mean you can logically think about it. Did burning the tower incite any further violence? if not then it is literally and figuratively harmless
-
