What is it going to take for people to realize that drugs will lead to death?

with all due respect, that question you ask is often irrelevant when it comes to addiction. The hold addiction has over some people is stronger than the idea that death could result from using.
-
Addiction is one matter that's not close to easy to overcome. Prevention of our youth and young adults from being said addicts is a matter we also must look into. We need to do better or else we'll continue this vicious cycle.

80% of the Fentanyl comes across the Mexican border. Over 29,000 deaths in the US last year. When is someone going to do something about this?pic.twitter.com/HA2Hs3J6aT
-
Addicts were od’ing no problems without Fentanyl. They always find a way.
-
Love your compassion for your fellow man. Below is the chart for Heroin. 90-94% comes over the border with Mexico via land. The climb really started in 2014 for Fentanyl and Heroin was earlier. But hey, screw them right?pic.twitter.com/vXNS2V1gLM

Does any of that prove me wrong? You know if you stopped it there, they’d get it somewhere else. Compassion is the fuel that keeps ‘addiction’ going.
-
If you cut supply, it costs more and reduces new users. There is a way to cut supply, it just takes will. The addiction has gone up with the reduced cost. If you stop even a fraction of it, it will reduce addiction.
-
It will just come from somewhere else. They’ll never cut supply altogether, there is too many powerful people getting money off it’s continuance. Addicts are vulnerable and powerful people need vulnerable, weak people to sustain their power.
-
I am talking about stopping people from becoming addicted. That means cutting supply. Obviously in 2011 it was much less worse than it is today and it was more expensive then.
-
And I’m saying they will find another way, there is too much money involved.

You can’t help those who don’t want to help themselves. Signed, the daughter of an addict/alcoholic.

Oh yes, another failing rapper commits suicide by overdose. Let's feel so bad for him and his troubled life with money and fame. Meanwhile, we have veterans with PTSD committing suicide almost daily where's their 15 minutes of fame?
