I love hearing Pres. Obama speak.
He's the most eloquent and compassionate speaker we've had as president for decades.
He reminds of the days when I was proud of my country, and gives me hope that I will be again.

I’ll give you that he’s a good speaker. BUT he was one of the most damaging presidents we’ve had & nearly destroyed our standing worldwide. His “apology tour” was a complete disgrace, among most things he did. But go ahead and wish for an eloquent speaker-I’ll choose effective.

I’m
and the only one who looks disgraceful from here is Trump. I would be ashamed! -
Yes and I'm Canadian also and I would trade Trudeau for Trump in a heartbeat. America doesn't know how good it has it right now with a leader who actually cares and fights for his Country.
-
Trump cares about no country. Trump cares about money.

If Bush had done this two years out from his term, media would be criticizing him right now. Saying its unbecoming of a former pres.
-
I think the ‘what is presidential’ mould was broken in 2016 and it’s permeating everything now, even politics elsewhere (definitely here in U.K.) If the rules are changed then surely they have to apply to everyone?

They’re not! It’s his side screaming at people in restaurants, elevators, & at their homes. Even the elected officials from his party are calling for the anger. AND THE HYPOCRISY CONTINUES
-
Screaming in restaurants? Wow, that's terrible. Looks like the facts show the far right is the violent mob. This graph was before the last 4 incidents done by the far right in the last week.pic.twitter.com/O58Wd6E32J
-
This graph is from 2007-2016 (before Trump was in office...but you knew that) and therefore doesn’t account for all of the anti-trump violence (antifa etc) that has grown since his election. No one can deny that the left are visibly outraged and are loud & clear about it
-
In fact the lawyers for far right extremists who tried to bomb Somali refugees are asking for reduced sentences for their clients because they were "inspired by Trump"
-
Lawyers will use anything at any time from any side they hope would support a favorable outcome for their client. Bottom line is ALL people need to be held accountable for their own actions & not blame others no matter what political side the are on!
-
And Trump should be held accountable for inciting them
-
No more than Bernie Sanders should be responsible for his supporter shooting up a GOP baseball practice. Everyone needs to be responsible for their own actions!
-
And more to the point, so far every pro Trump violent terrorist have had criminal records for similar violence... I expect to see law suits again Trump to shut his speech down because there are a load of cases that limit free speech to the degree to which is could cause...

You meant to say “Why is it that the “Folks who LOST the last election are so mad all the time?”......
-
Nope, he meant what he said. Exactly that.
-
Yup. He meant to show the division that he started 10 years ago. To him, it has always been us and them. Dem vs. GOP. Not one America.
-
Let me ask you this ... do you think trump has brought us together or has driven us even farther divided than we’ve ever been ?
-
Status quo. Obama was so far left and Trump is ultra conservative, the pendulum swing has been literally disorienting for many.
-
Ppl have been mad ever since a black man ran this country. Obama winning the election only brought out people's true feelings and they've been wearing them on their shoulders ever since. Trump is feeding off hatred
-
Exactly

-
Or maybe, people saw Obama sowing party division and shoving through the ACA. Over regulation, leading from behind in foreign policy etc.
