16,000 troops, Border patrol *and* ICE. Yay! small government! How much will this cost us while we “can’t afford” to pay teachers a living wage?
-
Combining my previous two thoughts on this subject, this would be eight soldiers to every member of the caravan. Imagine what we could do on education with even just one teacher for every eight children.
-
That is if all of them reach the border. Many are only travelling to add security as they cross Mexico. Last time only about 200 reached the border and of those only 3 were granted asylum.

Are we getting ready to invade Mexico? 15,000 troops is enough for an invasion.

Trump keeping up his scare tactics so that the gullible GOP will vote for racism instead of healthcare, which will really impact them

So it was unpatriotic and disrespectful to the Troops for people to kneel during the anthem but the
@POTUS using the military as a political prop is it okay? I'm all for border security but using ppl who volunteered to serve, when the POTUS nor I did, is wrong.#SupportOurTroops -
Yes pro border security. Anti violation of Posse Comitatus. The "caravan" is not invading an army so there is no legal justification to use troops. I'm not suggesting letting all of possibly any of them in, we have policies in place. Even if they are lacking. I'm arguing that
-
the use of the military is wrong. So they putting razor wire out and building temporary barriers. If they are also carrying their weapons. So if it's troops or a wall my question to you is what are the ROE's for this situation? Do we fire on unarmed people? If so when?

What the hell are they doing down there? There’s no caravan for 2 months? What a waste of our tax$ and precious resources of our military.
-
I live in Texas so I’m going to take them some playing cards. Maybe some board games
-
Great! They’ll appreciate that I’m sure!
-
Boy what a picnic those troops will have
-
Seriously though, I’ve heard a lot of service men and women say they’d be insulted by this assignment
-
Why wouldn’t be insulted! Stupid
#Trump is deploying US military on a babysitting mission.
