A flagpole cost $200,000? I bet it was installed by union guys
-
Not a flag pole. It’s a kinetic sculpture in New Zealand. When the sculpture is operating the wand oscillates, revolves and gyrates, spraying water from jets. Motors designed to work with a computer programme choreograph the movement and water patterns of the wand..
-
That’s 199,950$ too much
-
Okay. Makes no difference to me, but that still doesn’t make it a flag pole.

Why in the hell does that pole cost $200,000?
-
Because it's a kinetic sculpture that moves, so there's the mechanism and installation included in that cost as well.
