The "Presidential Alert" was a test to see if FEMA’s nationwide wireless emergency alert system works as hoped and can reach most Americans in advance of a national crisis, such as a nuclear attack or terrorist attack in multiple cities. http://abcn.ws/2yet2my pic.twitter.com/VHqH2XGurm

So people don’t want an alert in an emergency that could save their life or a friend or family members? Society is just complaining to much. And for those that don’t like it because trump sent it. I got news for you Obama passed the law.

I get alerts that affect me -- Amber Alerts for my area. Flood alerts for my area. Shelter in place alerts for my area. I don't mind those alerts as they are localized, immediate, and time sensitive. But a nation-wide alert? For what?

Because a localized alerts don’t deal with national alerts for example a missile attack. Those are national and sent out by the White House.

If ever used, this alert system will cause chaos. Can you imagine the car wrecks, pedestrians run over, stores pillaged. Since this will be used on a quick notice basis mayhem will rule the day. FEMA is part of DHS. Hope this works better than Puerto Rico & Separation of Families
