Humiliating. Ford kept her secret for over 30 years and now she has to tell her story into a microphone in front of so many men.

How is this "humiliating" and she wanted it? You can't have it both ways Carol, stop with the nonsense.

Every woman I know has a story like this. Nearly every one of us has kept quiet about it out of fear and shame but also because we know the consequences of speaking up. Thank you, Dr. Ford, for your bravery.
#KavanaughHearings -
What are the consequences you speak of, why do insist on portraying women as the "weaker" sex. I have been in this situation myself almost ALL teenage girls have been, but I HANDLED myself, she is disturbed by her own inability to handle it, not by what happened.
-
No. Women are very often vilified for speaking up about sexual assault. Their character is questioned. They are blamed. This occurs during court trials and within communities. If by "handling" you mean repressing, that's not an appropriate response to sexual trauma for anyone.
-
Vilified?? Not today, they are immediately believed without question. I am sorry but that is not fair either. By handling it I mean a slap across the face, walking away and making sure all my friends and his knew what a pervert.
-
Sorry, but if you do a little research on this, you'll find many credible academic sources that substantiate the point I made about women reporting sexual assault. Also, assault and rape are criminal charges and should be addressed with more than a "slap."
-
Assault and rape are criminal and should be punished by law, no question. The question is was this assault and was it by Kavanaugh
