Big deal. The young man was the one that initially attacked someone from behind, and then the cop orders him to stop and get down, which he refuses. Those two actions infer he's more threatening to the situation and needs to be subdued. This seems to be a totally legit response.pic.twitter.com/0y5PXkOBGi

Video clearly shows that the boy himself was attacked from behind and pushed off as he ran into someone but nice try.pic.twitter.com/ZJAoI1I8Ei

Have no idea what happened before the few seconds of video. He also looked like he was trying to leave the scene when the cop ordered him to "get down on the ground". Then he got kicked in the back one time to stop him. That was it.

So it's OK to kick a kid in the back 1x for an adolescent fight at a fair? Wouldn't it be better to deescalate the situation? How many times does an armed officer need to kick an unarmed teenager before it is not OK.

This is the result of the militarization of our police force, that go into every single everyday situation, (a teenage fight at a fair? Come on!), with an overly aggressive and antagonistic reaction. They make everything worse.

We're living in the Post-Rodney King era... at this point every brutality can be "explained away" by a competent attorney, and therefore, they "investigate"pic.twitter.com/IpM2RnX5N0

alright, #PoliceBrutality if a officer cannot deal with an 11 year old except to kick him to the blacktop, he is not mentally stable to wear the shield. What he did is child abuse.! Take his badge and send him packing. Mom and Dad, get yourselves a lawyer!

What’s to learn? They keep getting away with it. That’s all they’ve learned. They say not all cops are bad, it’s just a few bad apples. My take is that if you defend or cover for a bad cop, you’re just as bad.

Cop do that go my son. Badge or no badge. They be hell to pay! Like Dad stated during the 1962 Civil Rights marches. Cops were beating up kids. "Giving a guy a uniform and a badge like giving s fur coat to a money. He thinks he's King Kong"!
