For the first time in thirteen years the Army has failed to meet its annual recruiting goal and Army officials believe the strong U.S. economy is partially to blame. https://abcn.ws/2MTdsSV pic.twitter.com/yCv5GzsDFk

Millennials are 22-37 this year. Gen Z/Post-Millennials would be more accurate

How can two people born 15 years apart be considered the same generation? A 22 year old grew up in a much different world than a 37 year old

It’s the same way with every gen. My dad is 56 and is in the same ten as people people who are 71 now (baby boomers)

I always think of generations in subsets. Older and younger. It’s hard with gen z and some of gen z is like 7 at the moment and some are 22. I feel like each gen could be split it half based on experiences.

Maybe it’s the crappy attitude of military towards immigrants/transgenders who were unceremoniously kicked out...maybe it’s sexual assaults which are ignored...maybe it’s simply fact no one wants to deal w/commander in chief 🍊..maybe they don’t want to be recklessly sent to war.

I served 10 and same here. I'd never consider it again under this administration and the other reasons are very good ones too.

Army officials seemed to leave out a factor in this equation. The hateful, dangerous man sitting in Our House. He has to be a very big reason. To leave it out is not telling the entire story.

I dunno. Maybe (hopefully) people are waking up to America's imperialist presence in the world and are refusing to join. That's a good thing.

Regrettably, we will seriously explore Erik Prince’s vision of a “no ties but pay” mercenary force before we even tepidly confront the historical record of our military projection.

*Sigh* You're right; just as Obama persued a form of imperialism with a "smaller" footprint (drones).

There is a seventeen year old "war on terror" being fought to preserve freedom yet Americans have less freedom now than at it's beginning 🤷‍♂️. People are starting to realize that constant warfare has nothing to do with freedom and everything to do with expanding an empire
