I too was afraid to call out my abuser! I was only five years old and he was the chief of police of New Orleans! No one was going to believe me. My fear, shame and embarrassment kept me silent for 55 years ;(

I bet you remember When it happened What year it happened How you got there How you got home Who else you saw there Where it happened Dr Ford doesnt recall any of that

Great reply. I investigated thousands of cases over my career as CLO. There are standards and evidence must be credible and/or corroborated. This a game -distract, delay, and destroy

It’s almost like the
@GOP is trying to put its collective hand over Dr. Ford’s mouth, hoping to have its way with her.#MeToo
#Kavanaugh -
Ms. Ford and her attorney wanted a chance to speak to the committee The Senate has offered her a chance to be heard They offered her multiple days Closed committee Or open Or Private Meetings Or to go to her home in California Shes had 36 years to get her story straight

If I'm her attorneys, my argument is that she's being denied Constitutional rights to equal protection under the law. Kavanaugh isn't being held to the same standard & has been predetermined to not have done what she'll be required to produce evidence of, but his word is enough.
-
People in this country are innocent until proven guilty. Her word is not good enough. His word is not good enough. Evidence is what is good enough. She needs to testify or go home. Have a voice. We want to hear what she has to say.
-
That's funny. This is a job interview, not a criminal trial where he's presumed innocent until proven guilty. Why isn't he calling for an investigation to clear his name? Willing to undergo a polygraph?
#EqualProtectionUnderTheLaw -
Polygraph’s are useless. Job interview or not, when someone makes an accusation like this, they better have evidence to back it up. If she has that, we want to hear it. Then we want to hear what he has to say. There’s two sides to every story. We need to hear both.
-
That's what investigations by trained investigators are for. A Senate committee made up of men who've already voiced their outcomes isn't an investigation now anymore than it was with Anita Hill.

These answers must be why you wear that hat.. please go back to school and learn about your government and how it works

I understand the standard for a criminal proceeding. Investigations and vetting of a Supreme Court nominee are legislative proceedings, not judicial. Neither are the aforementioned background checks completed publicly. You seem to be making assumptions about me.

Terms to testify? All this does is make her lose credibility. She should show up and testify or she should decline the offer and go home.
