Seems healthy that humans are responsible for this

You realize they call it Salt Lake for a reason. Smh.
-
The fact that there is such a drastic difference in salinity caused by a roadway is what I was commenting on.
-
The salinity is caused by the lake not having an outlet, like the Dead Sea. water goes in but only evaporates out so it gets saltier over time because of salt in the Earth. Has nothing to do with a road. The red is an Algae Bloom, also not human pollution.

Sssshhhhhh..... he is a millenial that has to feel guilty for existing. Not guilty enough to actually stop buying plastics, electricity, phones, tablets, $6 coffee, etc. But guilty enough to blame OTHER humans.ya know... cuz it's like, their fault or something.

A better explanation. The red hue of the North Arm comes from a type of bacteria, called halophilic bacteria, that just flourishes when the salt level rises.
