She needs to be charged with murder, js. She not only broke into someone else's apartment, she killed him. That's at least two charges right there.

You are correct... armed breaking and entering is a capital crime all by itself... there is no "accident" defense for armed breaking and entering... burglars try to use that all the time, never successfully

That’s it? No internal investigation? I take a knee to this one!
-
Sure, investigate all you want...but release to the public immediately her 911 recording and toxicology report. Due process WITH no appearance of impropriety...sure.
-
Her toxicology report will show her blood from 3 days AFTER the shooting. And while DPD got a warrant to search the VICTIM’S apartment, they have not executed any warrant against hers.
-
So much for no appearance of impropriety...

And by any rational person. This was murder.

Misunderstanding my ass. She came into his apartment, she had the gun, he didn’t have a weapon and who doesn’t turn their lights on as soon as they enter her home. She murdered an innocent Man. NO MORE EXCUSES. She is dangerous to society as a cop, if she can do this vile crime.

Did she not recognize that the decor of the apartment wasn't hers?

It was a home invasion, in the dead of night, during which the occupant was murdered by the intruder. That's the whole truth right there.
-
But, but, they found Marijuana in his apartment! And he's black.

To say the least...she has made up all sorts of stories, including that he had the door ajar...neighbors heard her knocking and hitting on the door so hard, so as to break it...
-
Can you believe the neighbors? Sad so sad for the loss of this mans life. Horrible accident maybe. Just me.
-
I’m not prejudging anything...But the facts as they appear are bad for the cop. She clearly wasn’t in the right place & if you have even a little doubt as to where you are, why come out with murdering intent? Why not ask the resident of the apartment about the apparent mistake?
-
She is in hot hot water and should be. I just have a hard time believing that the shooting was deliberately. Now we have protests, why? So sad. Protesters need to go home. The water is hot very hot. Now we do need not forget one is innocent until proven guilty. Sad.
-
I agree that the presumption of innocence is a principle to be treasured in our justice system. That said, I do not know how much this same presumption would assist if a drunk black cop broke into a white 26-year old’s apartment and shot her to death.
-
Would the authorities be trying to get dirt on the victim if the roles were inverted? Marijuana in the apartment? He was in his home!!

I'm really praying that the "Oops, my bad" defense argument does not work for this Dallas police officer. She murdered this man, and she deserves to spend many years of her life in jail.
