You evacuate but leave the flag? I would have made sure I grabbed the flag. That’s just me. #bigandwet

you were gonna grab an inanimate object with no value while you were evacuating due to a hurricane. really
-
To me it has value that’s why I said that’s just me!
-
it’s 34 miles off the coast of Cape Fear and it’s actually a former Coast Guard observation tower. im sure boating 34 miles out there to take down the flag was a bit low on the priority list
-
Ok well my comment was based on the idea it was in my back yard. I’m sure you can pick up on that.
-
your original comment suggests that you would have grabbed THIS flag. i was just informing you that it was impractical to grab a flag 34 miles off the coast and probably wasn’t a priority. im sure you can pick up on that
-
FYI I don’t think it’s unAmerica to leave the flag. Just saying IF it was my home I would grab it.
-
and it’s not your home dude! that’s my point! you said you would’ve grabbed the flag, that’s all great and fine. however, no one “left” this flag when they evacuated. that’s my entire point

The flag represents United States of America. The wind represents Trump.

It should have been taken down. Jus' sayin'
-
they probably had more important things to do before the storm than take down a piece of fabric jus' sayin'
-
Who is they?
-
the person who left it up
-
Well now it's ruined so "they" will have to buy a new one.
-
It's 35 miles off the coast. It is far to dangerous to try to retrieve it.
-
I get it. It could have been taken down prior to the arrival of the storm. With all the hoopla about "respecting the flag" of late, just noting that this one has been ripped to shreds.
-
I agree, it is a tad hypocritical. I just don't want anyone to risk their lives over some fabric ya know

If people gave as much importance to others instead of a piece of cloth, the world would be a much better place.
