Does it surprise anyone we rank almost dead last in #healthcare? Our country acts like it’s a privilege, not a right, and citizens die everyday because they simply could not afford the care they needed. Like our justice system, our healthcare system is need of serious reform.

Certainly not a surprise to any of us who work in the healthcare system. We have tremendous technology and scientific advances; we have brilliant clinicians; and we have a system that subverts and sabotages the ability of people to access quality & efficient care.

Pfizer CEO got a 61% salary increase to 27.9 million dollars. People are dying from insulin rationing due to its high cost. This is disgusting

Is there anything left in America that isn’t up for exploitation? Capitalism is great

What’s really terrible / unfortunate is ABCNews failed to investigate CVS charging the federal govt in a Medicare prescription scam over a billion dollars since 2007.That’s why the drugs are not affordable! It’s like the Weinstein scam and NBC failed to run the story!

The main problem with the insulin shortage is due to over-prescribing. Testing for diabetes is supposed to be done over a 3-month period. These days, if you didn't eat lunch before getting tested you will be misdiagnosed & put on Insulin, destroying body's ability to make Insulin
-
There is no shortage thanks. It’s just price gouging. And you can’t overprescribe insulin bc you die if you take too much

-
When I say, "over-prescribing", I mean handing them out like candy. They're supposed to test over a three-month period, but now they only test you ONCE. If you haven't eaten, you're going to be diagnosed. Diabetes diagnosis has reached a 96% misdiagnosis rate, according to AMA.
-
Not type 1. You’re either diagnosed or you die. Period. Stop generalizing this shit. Not all type 2 diabetics need insulin. 100% of Type 1s do, to survive, period. See the fallacy in your argument?
-
What part of "They used to test it over 3 months to get a CORRECT diagnosis and now they test it ONLY once which gives them a 96% misdiagnosis rate" didn't you understand? Are you too stupid to understand simple concepts and facts??
-
Exactly. I’m too stupid to understand a disease I’ve lived with for the past 23 years. You got me. Given my complete and total ignorance on the workings of my own body, and your 100% knowledge, you won’t mind a block....since you already know me so well.

your body produces insulin naturally so yea you have the right to get healthy. but you don't have the right to get it from other people for free.
-
None is asking for free. This insulin was developed 20 years ago. No change in it. It’s gone from 20 a vial to 300 a vial. That’s 900 a month for my T1D son to stay alive. Every other country cost us max 100. We’ve kept competition out in US. Congress accepts pharma donor $
