Another senseless killing, RIP and condolences to your friends and family

Yea he should had just let him beat him up and possibly get shot by the aggressor
-
Without the weapon this would have been a fist fight. And I’m NOT saying there is never a place for a gun, just don’t think this was that place. Very sad for the family.
-
Yea and why should he be assaulted for doing his job? Sometimes all it takes is one punchpic.twitter.com/nBhBIiyOX2

This is just an excuse to be able to shoot anyone for no reason by hiding by this so called law. It will get worse soon, time for people to stay indoors or be shot for the hell of it from someone.
-
Or don't get out of your vehicle and confront people after cutting them off, then tell them you have a gun and reach for your waist.

I didn’t think
@Uber allowed their drivers to carry a weapon in the car while driving passengers. This makes me wonder if I still want to keep using them for my work

-
Why not? You know they'll protect you from a crazed ex that tells you he's watching you all day and is going to "f*ck both y'all up" before cutting you off and slamming on the brakes, getting out to do exactly what he said he would.
-
I always ask my drivers aren’t they scared of crazed people out there. Once had a young girl pick me up at 439 am to go to airport . She had no clue I was at her window when I knocked on it. It’s just dangerous and I asked others and they just avoid the question ‘

You know before stand your ground - that would have just been deemed Self defense —which means you were not arrested or got off. However- when you pick a fight and then kill someone is NOT justified except under this BS law!
-
The only one who picked a fight here is the one who got shot. Uber driver was just innocently doing his job
-
That’s what I said .. even without this ridiculous SYG law a case like this could be self defense. Where in other cases as with the parking lot murder - that is just murder ..

I wonder how we as a society have come to be so angry as to confront others violently, because they may have cut you off. Remember, we all screw up on the road, and remember when you get pissed off at someone, you are not confronting a car, you’re confronting a human being.

Maybe you should try reading the article before commenting.

Good call. I am for more regulation on gun ownership, but this guy violently approached the exclaiming “I have a gun”. This kind of extreme scenario is not the one to make an example about restraint.
-
I guess I am being theoretical in this issue. By that I mean, why have we gotten to the point where we would be so angry at us to force another car to stop and approach it in anger because someone cut us off, or we got into a fight with her girlfriend. We should not be like that

I'm not faulting this guy for shooting him. He was being excessively aggressive, and there was reason to believe he was armed, but it turned out to be a phone, not a gun, and if the uber driver hadn't been armed, they both would be alive today.
-
It was dark, he said he had a gun and was going to shoot him. If you watch the video of the interaction it appears he has a gun and holds it up at the Uber driver. So Uber driver should have waited to triple check if it was a gun that could kill him instead?
-
I was just pointing out, that if the uber driver hadn't had a gun, they would BOTH be alive today.
