Trump is criticized for whatever he does or doesn't do. Shrug, on to the next controversy.

No, not true. If he'd left the American flag lowered to half staff at the WH until McCain was laid to rest he wouldn't be criticized for that. Trump is just a spiteful, narcissistic, and uncaring person who values himself over our country. Shameful!

It’s a lame low life attempt to distract us and the media from what may be happing in the coming weeks...

Desperate for attention. I wish to hell msm would not show what he tweeted while discussing McCain as it serves no purpose other than giving him the attention he seeks. He doesn’t differentiate between good and bad attention.

So very true Valerie. Cut off all mentions of his name and watch the nuclear meltdown occur.

Raising that flag to full staff already might be more disrespectful than kneeling to it.

I wonder if y’all do any research. Title 4 of the US code indicates that the flag should be flown at half staff on the day of death and the day after for a member of Congress (including senators). From death until burial is for Vice Presidents and Supreme Court justices.

You are correct. And, if you read the article,
@ABC says the flag was raised LESS THAN 48 hours after his death, breaking with protocol.#pettylittletrump -
He died at 4:28 local time. That’s when it was lowered and stayed that way through Sunday...per protocol. It doesn’t say 48 hours. It’s time of death and next day.
#knowyourfacts#pettysnowflakes -
You know a day is 24 hours right.
-
I interpret "the day of death" as being til midnight, then 24 more hours. In any case, this will be the FIRST time this White House has followed protocol.
-
That makes sense.

US Code Title 4, Chapter 1, Section 7 (m): “on the day of death and following day for a member of Congress”. There’s a difference between what “must” be done and what we might “want”to be done. This article and headline is misleading and incorrect.

With that being said, I wish it were still half staff because he deserves it and was a hero for sure.
