There seems to be an easy way to prevent this kind of tragedy from happening so often, parents should pretend their child is their cell phone and vice versa in the car.

Can't think of any other reason why a parent would forget their child in a car other than phone addiction...

I am so tired of hearing these stories. Even the most irresponsible parent should be able to remember that they left their baby in the car on a hot day. It's manslaughter!

Charge them with murder. This is getting ridiculous. It's a cruel and terrible dying, please think about that - soaked in sweat, burning up, struggling to breathe, agonising headache. Death becomes a welcome relief. There's NO EXCUSE for this.

Auto manufacturers: Fix this! How can you make self driving cars but can't find a way to detect a living thing in a car, provide cool air and a way to get out?

Maybe you are unaware of this but cars are already being made that sound a warning if someone is left in the car,the fact that this needs to be done is disgraceful

I was about to say this. We SHOULDN'T need our cars to tell us what we should already know. It's ludicrous!

Who ever left the child in there should be locked up and not allowed to have anymore children.
