Drugs will never stop. If toy want to blame someone, blame pharmaceutical companies who introduced Oxycontin and pumped them out like candy, saying they had less than 1% addiction potential. Then look up how many Republicans in Congress hold stock in these companies.

I work adjacent to the green this is happening on. It's wild outside. Lots of police and EMS vehicles around and I haven't stopped hearing sirens all morning; it's just starting to calm down. People do a lot of drugs in that park but this many people OD'ing all at once is crazy.
-
I wonder if everyone got the stuff from the same dealer?
-
Someone on the New Haven subreddit said they heard a rumour of someone handing out "free samples" but it wasn't substantiated with anything, you know? NHPD have made an arrest, but I haven't been able to find any details other than a name so far.
-
I hope it's not fentanyl. Or fentanyl laced

The drugs are coming straight from the top these people are making money every step of the way. They get people addicted by selling them drugs then they make money with drug rehabs and the prison system. it's all a big scam.
-
Drugs need to be made legal or at least need to be decriminalized to get the money out of the pockets of these drug cartels. If you really hate drugs and what they're doing to our people this is the only way. Make drugs taxable use that money to get people clean and get them jobs

Probably straight Fentanyl or carphentanyl.
-
Doubtful, but an amount of either of those substances even approaching a "normal appearing dose" of ones usual substance of choice would have been enough to take all lives on the spot. With limited knowledge of the details as of yet it is irresponsible to speculate.
-
Wrong. Fentanyl is prevalent and addicts in Baltimore will test positive for fentanyl and negative for heroin.
-
I don't disagree, however that does NOT make it "straight" fent or carfent or anything else. A sand grain sized dose of carfent is fatal. Unlikely a drug user purchases a grain of sand I think you'd agree. Ingredients bein inert or otherwise doesn't change their presence.
-
Drugs are cut with different things. Again, it could have been straight Fentanyl or cut with carphentanyl. It's nearly impossible to know what you're getting. These overdoses will potentially attract the addicts with thehope that they might actually feel high.
-
And of course it's impossible to know even if ya test your product before using. I have more hands on experience than I care to admit unfortunately. (not proud, just fact) happily have that behind me now and clean.
-
That's awesome! Me too but not dope. Xo
-
Congrats and keep goin! Unfortunately there wasn't much I wouldn't have done in my time running around!
