Manslaughter? How about coldblooded murder.

At this point ANY charge is progress

Thank you. He was in no danger after the push.

I’m not all for shooting ppl ever but the guy was pushed to his knees and physically assaulted - why shouldn’t he fight back?
-
Because murder isn't an appropriate response to verbally acosting a woman and then getting shoved by someone who comes to her defense. That's ridiculous.
-
Shoving someone isnt an appropriate method of responding to being verbally accosted
-
Yeah. It's called minor escalation versus major escalation. The guy who got shoved walked away from the situation. The guy who got shot didn't. It really isn't hard to see the difference in degrees here. And arguing that a shove warrants murder is insane.
-
It seems to me that there was a minor escalation and a major de-escalation. It's always right to de-escalate a situation
-
It was de-escalated as soon as he pulled the gun out. No further action was needed.
-
Exactly. Pulling the trigger wasn't a de-escalation. He shoved the guy. Nothing else was happening. The the dude shot someone who was posing no further threat. There's no justification. At. All.

What is Florida's manslaughter law it's usually 3-5 year's maximum sentence? I wish it was 10-15 because if he gets 3 it's a slap on the wrist.
-
They had to charge him because of the video, publicity. He will end up walking. (No pun intended)
-
I agree with you like George Zimmerman. I don't like Florida. For five years I have been addressing the laws that have major flaws. I hope one day things change.
-
Florida's laws are pucked because of this NRA dudette. She controlled everyone from the Gov. on down.https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2018/03/05/the-nra-lobbyist-behind-floridas-pro-gun-policies …
