Let's not get carried away. He's not qualified. Just like I'm not qualified to play in the NBA.

More qualified than Devos...

I agree. We all know she “financed” her way to that job.

I’m torn between making fun of the person who came up with the petition to replace a person that governs our country’s education, with a rich former athlete whose only credentials are that he gave money to build a school, or the ones who sign it.

Not to be picky, but he’s not a “former” athlete. I’m pretty sure he’s still playing at a remarkably high level! So he’s a full time BB player & he still finds time to do an amazing job helping kids get their education.
-
Or pay others to do the organizing, planning and writes a check...
-
Exactly. It’s a public school, which means, ultimately, tax payers will be paying the biggest part of it when all is said and done.
-
Better do your homework, Trumpsters, altho I know that’s asking a lot & not something you’re used to doing. Lebron has poured millions into that school, way more than taxpayer money would, plus he pays college tuition for all kids. Try nice, but as usual, wrong again with facts.
-
I haven’t seen a balance sheet indicating how much LeBron is paying for the school and how much the tax payers are paying for it.. and neither have you. Why did you completely make up a statement out of thin air? That’s called a lie.
-
I don’t need a balance sheet to tell me public schools are funded by tax payers. I’m sure his foundation will continue to donate some each year, but it’s not going to donate the entire amount each year. Tax payers are going to be footing that responsibility. Common sense.

And I don’t need a
to see that this topic has tangeted off into issues I had no desire to tweet about.

While the talk of Lebron James replacing Betsy Devos as Sec. of Ed. is entertaining, it’s part of a trap. I’d rather see a petition w/real educators who’ve devoted their careers to the work. We have to respect intellectuals in their work and not expect celebrities to save us.
-
Except Trump made a mockery of all teachers when he thought Devos could do the job.
-
As do most presidents when they hire people with no education experience to do that job.

Devos' sole qualification is that she and her family donated $200 million to Republicans.

My niece's See-and-Say has more educational credibility than Devos.

He appears to be much better qualified for the job, even if he only did it part time.
-
Why not she’s only doing it part time.
