How about go outside and interact with real human beings.
-
This has nothing to do with that. Thats llike telling kids to just not have sex. Parents should be teaching their kids to never give out login info, even to friends
-
That should be a given. But the chances of him giving away his moms card # to friends face to face is virtually none. Young folks live via cyber space & have trouble relating & communicating with actual humans. Learn that successfully then you'll know the nuances of cyber crooks.
-
yeah its also called being a good parent a limiting the amount of screen time your kids get (parent a 2 myself), teaching them about online stangers as much as you teach them about real life ones. not giving out login info is part of Internet 101

Maybe teach your kids the basics of being online. Lesson 1: Never EVER share your login information with anyone. This isn’t difficult.

Wow a lot of replies about giving out login info. How about the kid was wanting to get extra “skins”, ones that he had to pay real world money for, trying to get it for nothing. He got scammed because he was trying to cheat. 2 wrongs don’t make right. Don’t claim victim.

teach him and others not to use the same password for all of their stuff. he could have easily recovered his account but obvs his fortnite and gmail password were the same since the person got access to both. internet safety 101.
