Why was that duck operating with storms in the area? Was Real-time weather updates are available, where passengers issued flotation devices? Either improve safety procedures for these ducks, or remove them from service. This isn’t the first major loss of life for these ducks.

I know so many questions why would they risk it?
-
The owner of the Duck’s said the water was calm when they entered. Makes you wonder if anyone was tracking the weather at the base and could have radioed the driver to return. Storms can come up extremely fast in the Ozarks.
-
Reminds me of the 1977 Southern Airways DC-9 which crashed during a storm. The crew flew straight into the storm, as a result onboard weather systems were upgraded. There’s no way that duck should’ve been operating with the threat of severe storms in the vicinity.

I absolutely agree. The liability is on them and I know sometimes we get too comfortable in our routines and we don't pay attention or take necessary precautions like we should but when lives are involved there's just no excuse.

You have to wonder what the boat was doing out on the water during the extreme weather conditions?
-
From what I’ve seen and read it blew up very quickly out of nowhere.
-
So get to shore
-
They were TRYING. But the waves were as much as 6 feet high. The videos I have seen showed them being turned around and around repeatedly.
-
Yes the video shows very plainly they were trying to get to shore. I go frequently to Branson and they were so close to the shore. They were almost there

What were children (their souls RIP) doing on a boat in the evening & in an area where severe thunderstorms forecasted? I heard
@AlRoker warned about severe weather in the area. I hope#RideTheDucks &#RipleyEntertainment sued.#BoatAccident,#TableRockLake,#Branson,#Missouri -
The last ride left from the base at 6:00pm. This is a family tourist town. Families were out enjoying time together. Although there had been storms around the area, the one in Branson didn’t come up until the Duck would have already out.
-
The tour is 70 minutes. The warning went out at 18:32. Only 30 minutes are on water. If they had the weather warning and heeded it, they should not ave gone out.

Those boats are dangerous. The same thing happened in Philadelphia a number of years ago. They need to be shut down.

This breaks my heart! Been going to Branson since 1998 and every time my family and I went down, we would ride the ducks. Because of bad weather approaching, one time we left the water early and another we didn’t even go in at all. I just can’t believe this happened! Praying!

Just so sad. I can only imagine how terrified they were. Especially, the kids.
