It's a shame it happened but what is a cop supposed to do? How were they to know it was a lie?

Treat people humanely while you detain them? Perhaps when a kid asks if he can put his shirt on, you let him?
-
Until the threat or in this case fake threat is assessed the accused stay cuffed. The cops did their job and I don't see inhumane treatment. I do see a racist that caused that to happen to then unnecessarily. That's inhumane. You're blaming the wrong side here.
-
Most of my ire is to the caller, and I hope they catch that person, and they are prosecuted.

Whatever, being cuffed is not inhuman, its the right of the police while they investigate. If they were in Africa they would have been necklaces by a mob.
-
The question is if they were white kids in the same situation would the police have treated them like this? There's an unequal application of justice in this country with a police culture that has a history of demeaning and demoralizing people of color. That's a problem.
-
I've been detained by police as a teen and my dad was a cop my entire life. He was well known by other officers in his department and surrounding cities. I was still cuffed until the issue was resolved. They knew who I was from the start because they recognized me. It's not race.
-
I ate a big breakfast this morning, but that doesn't mean World Hunger doesn't exist. Because you say you've been handcuffed by the police before, doesn't mean police abuse and harassment against black folks doesn't exist.
-
The entire "you don't get it never happened to you" It did Then "if it did you still don't get it" Then it's "our thing" and systemic to "our race." It's systemic for the police to investigate crime and prosecutors to bring a case. The race is incidental to the crime.

People of every race are detained every single day until the police can assess the situation. This is 100% race baiting fake news. Why couldn't she speak in English at the press conference. I wonder what would've happened to the teens in Somalia... Go kick rocks

Let me fix that tweet for you: “Teenagers do some suspicious shit and get hand-cuffed. Eventually released. Cops did their job.”
-
What suspicious shit were they doing?
-
Looks like the 911 caller thought they had weapons. Police are now looking for the caller. Perhaps the caller should be arrested for making a false call. But the article is intended to incite ill will towards police, by its very existence. See how MSM works against us?

Isn't this proper procedure when they get a call of four guys, fitting the description at that location, have weapons? They have to go by what the 911 caller says. I don't see in the story where they were slammed to the grounds, beaten with batons or tazed.

Really. How is this news? 1000s of white men suffer then same each day, but because they are Somali its an outrage. Talk about attempting to create a narrative via media coverage. No wonder why people think its a epidemic.
