61% of Americans say the federal government should be doing “a great deal” or “a lot” about global warming, according to new @ABC News/Stanford/RFF poll. https://abcn.ws/2Ngltll pic.twitter.com/U9X48rsGxo

Let's dig into some of the more inconvenient numbers here. For starters, the poll shows that despite years of campaigning, activists and politicians have failed to move the public on this issue:pic.twitter.com/esRnWiKUyD

Here's another one -- While 74% believe temps have risen in the past century, most believe it's entirely natural or both natural and man-made:pic.twitter.com/S6ACwVUkd3

Another -- very low support for taxes that raise energy costs (like a carbon tax or gas tax), but high support for tax breaks to encourage innovation. Americans still like coal:pic.twitter.com/IFMWT2OgQV

The poll also found that only "51 percent, see a 'very' serious problem to the country, and fewer still, 39 percent, think the effects of global warming pose a serious threat to their own way of life in their lifetime."

Why is ABC News suggesting the American Gov. is not or has not made great changes to save the environment/ global warming ? ABC News is afraid to talk about China’s pollution ! Paris Climate Agreement gave China a Trillion & 10 yrs before making changes... WEAK !

You're. If you don't think taking this poll at the height of the summer affects the results..... Additionally the question is not whether the earth is warming, it's how much of it is due to man and how much can man do to change it. Nuance is not your friend in this debate.
