This is disgusting. "I was screaming 'Mama, I need you,'" Michael Moore "I was in tears. And now I'm angry. He told them, 'My mama is inside. Let me get my mama,'" Tracie Moore "It really doesn't take long conversing with him to figure out he has a disability,"

I couldn't watch. I'm the mom of an autistic son. Just reading your recap I'm anxious and angry and they need to do better!
-
While the incident is shocking and sad, it got you both to a point of agreement - there needs to be better training for the police. I'm happy to see that there can still be some common ground for those on the left and the right.
-
I am always searching for common ground across the isle. So much emphasis and debate about which wing is more broken or expendable but if the bird is to survive it needs them both. We need to stop screaming and pointing fingers. We owe it to future generations to do better.

Not going to watch this video because my son has autism and it will just infuriate me.
-
Same. Can't watch. The fear of this, or similar, happening to my boy is too much.

They obviously at very least need Autism awareness training...

It doesn't work. The data says it doesn't work. Cops just need to be accountable for this bs.

That was completely unnecessary. That's the very reason we stay to a routine as much as possible and someone is always with my grandson. This makes me so mad. It happened to my grandson at school when he was 12. He ended up in the hospital. No one gets it unless they live it.

Sad. Just because someone was throwing stones. Meanwhile you have CRIMINALS walking the streets with no regard for human life causing mayhem. So basically if you have any type of disability whether physical or scholastic the police will deem you to be drunk or on drugs.

He was only tazed. The shame is... a man of color would be DEAD!

That remark was totally unnecessary ma'm.

But true!

Someone should organize a protest against police brutality. Maybe we could kneel at football games during the National Anthem...

Black people are gonna do what disability organizations won't.

Used to respect police. Growing up our next door neighbor was a State Trooper. Never once shot his gun. Gave us rides to school on rainy days in his cruiser. Now? Macho militaristic little racists with a chip...not all...many though...sad...

Police need better training with ASD it's virtually everywhere and when a man or child starts out with "I'm okay" they're not telling YOU they're okay! They're trying to tell themselves they're okay! I couldn't watch past that point.
