Just curious...why was he fleeing??

Maybe he was told he had 5 seconds to get out of their sight. You don’t know. You just want him to be the ‘criminal’ because he’s black, not because he hurt anyone.
-
Stefan I call it how I see it - and I believe that man meant it as an accusation and, as you can see, has not denied that fact. Also, when you have real questions you research, you don’t post random questions. Most racists are lazy like that.
-
Racist?? lolol. Just a simple question. Would you run from the cops if they pulled you over??
-
POC — particularly black men — have every reason to fear an encounter with police and I say this as someone who works in law enforcement. We have much work to do in policing some communities. I mourn at the loss of this young man.
-
He was in a car that was just in a drive by and had guns in the car. Whatever you do...dont ever run.
-
Once again, compliance does not guarantee safety. Stop perpetuating that myth.
-
I agree...but do you have a better chance if you comply or run away? I think we both know the answer to that.

So why was he fleeing a traffic stop? Seems like that should be in the headline.
-
How do you know they didn’t tell him he had 5 seconds to get out of their sight so they could shoot him? You don’t know. You have a stupid hat.
-
The hat, your opinion. Did you not see the part that said he was "Fleeing a traffic stop?" You're an idiot. He did not stop FOR them to even threaten him, lol.
-
Ppl flee all the time and aren't shot in the back......

It's a terrible tragedy for the family, I am always sad when this could have been averted. Cops, parents & teens, If you did nothing wrong just comply, if you did something wrong, comply! When you run or fight then officers can use force to stop you. When that happens people die
-
You don’t know what orders he was given. Here’s a thought: don’t try to justify murder by making shit up that never even happened to your knowledge.
-
The media is hyper sensitive to police brutality and unarmed people getting killed, so I can imagine that the media would not try to cover up facts. The cops on the other hand, maybe some would, but the media would not in fact they would try to make it look worse,
-
Really? Because every media report starts with ‘police said’. Initial reports are always verbatim what lolicebtomd the media to say
-
That's not true at all, they get a statement from the police but they talk to witnesses, especially when the victim is black. Your not providing any details though on instances of compliance got them killed
