Actor George Takei says family separation worse than Japanese-American internment camps: "At least during the internment of Japanese-Americans, I and other children were not stripped from our parents." https://abcn.ws/2M8jJdx pic.twitter.com/rWJBuAwFay

There are issues with the current policy. But here's a difference for you: the Japanese-Americans interned did not commit any crimes.

Neither did the children, or some of their parents, unless you consider applying for asylum a crime.

I could be wrong - I was under the impression this was not happening to those applying for asylum at ports of entry. Is that correct?

Video footage surfaces from 2014 showing that under Obama, family separations and holding centers were EXACTLY the same. The media said absolutely nothing then, but are ramping up the propganda now because the midterms are fast approaching.

It is heartbreaking that Trump has instilled a policy that is even more horrible than the Japanese internment camps.

Trump did not instill this policy. It's fine to disagree with the president. It's another thing to misrepresent things for political purposes.

Not surprised. The reporters are not allowed into the facilities currently. That says something.

Don't act like this was all Trump. Now, if you want to say that Sessions increased the amount, that is accurate. If you want to say it started with Trump, that's a lie.

It is not a lie. We have never had thousands of children (and babies) taken from their parents. And there are no procedures in place to bring the families back together. Trump is inflicting horror on these families. Stop defending him. It is Trump since he is a racist.

Dems don't care about these kids. If they did they'd stop pushing policies that promote more child trafficking, and actually get down and do something about it. But naw, as Chuck sez, they'd rather "keep the presure on Trump", and media is happy to comply.pic.twitter.com/qTTLEWJJcC
