Is it a goal to desensitize American viewers of this kind of behavior so that it may be acceptable?

She spit on him and kicked him in the nuts. Lucky she didn’t get shot.

She wasn't black...

so 1. Don't hit a cop 2. Don't spit on a cop 3. Don't resist arrest 4. Don't have alcohol on the beach 5. Don't get caught underage drinking 6. If a police officer asks for your name you give it. I'm not sure what ppl are missing here. The officers are not at fault
-
What are you failing to see? You don't punch a private citizen. She was already on the ground being handcuffed. There was no reason, under any circumstances, to punch her in the head.
-
She originally cooperated. Then didn't follow the cop's request for her name. Then she walked away. Cursed at the cop. She refused arrest. She also spit on an officer.
-
Arrested for what? She passed the breathalyzer test. She had no legal requirement to give him her last name. She's allowed to curse at him all she wants via the first amendment. He had no just cause to arrest her for anything. This was a flagrant abuse of power on his part.
-
Go curse at a person of authority like a teacher or a cop. See how far that gets you. Read my 1st tweet.
-
Cursing is not illegal. Nor is it worthy of being beaten. Especially by a person of "authority" who should be held to a higher standard.
-
1. She is charged with resisting arrest. 2. She resisted arrest before being hit by walking away. If she fully cooperated, there would have been no punches, no spitting, and thus less charges (the assault charges). If she fully cooperated she would have 1 charge so that's on her.
-
Possession of alcohol by a minor. Great role model for her small kid as she was on probation and now is charged 5 times with 2 of them by assaulting an officer
