Trump's attacks on Critical Race Theory are rooted in the belief that there's something dangerous about people learning about America's history of slavery, white supremacy, and racism, and how those phenomena continue to shape our country.
The right will go to such extreme lengths to stop people from learning about structural racism and how it operates because they know it's dangerous when people can see, understand, and ultimately dismantle the systems of oppression. They fear their power structures crumbling.

Well, no. Acknowledging a problem exists doesn't make the problem worse. Pretending the problem doesn't exist and doing everything possible to ignore the reality of it makes the problem worse.
