Some people are asking why counting is still continuing in PA, GA, and AZ when other states finished counting on election night. No state finished counting votes on election night. In many states, networks were able to call the race but that doesn't mean the vote count was over.
In California alone, there's estimated to be 3.6 million ballots that still have to be processed and counted. The number of electoral votes they were the states they had to win to get to 270. They had no chance of flipping reliably red or blue states . These were the states each could possibly win.
