As @sandylocks puts it: "Would it be wrong to worry about our party being gentrified, that the folks that the party cares about the most are these new folks, the Trump refugees, as opposed to the people who've been living there all along?"pic.twitter.com/G9B1Ui263w

I don’t think Black people’s need will be centered in a Biden administration, but I hope they are.

And Stacey Abrams won us Georgia. Black women have continued to come through throughout 2020.

When the race is called for Biden, everyone should tweet this eloquent Michael Rappaport eulogy to:

I 100% agree with the final sentence, but I'd asterisk the % numbers simply because we don't know how many people actually left the party (and thus voted as unaffiliated, Dem, or independent) vs how many stayed and voted blue. That's important but also hair-splitting, I know :)

We should also keep in mind that a lot of people left the Republican Party over the past four years, and those who remained are more likely Trump supporters.

My worry is that without the Senate, it is possible Biden may only be able to have a cabinet of Lincoln Project-esque members. Republicans would absolutely block to try to fracture party. With an amazing showing in Georgia hopefully this is non issue

One appointment I think would work either way: Doug Jones for Attorney General. Clearly centers civil rights in his work based on his history as U.S. Attorney in Alabama, extremely qualified, and should pass even a GOP Senate unless McConnell pulls some fuckery (which is likely)
