The repression of anti-racism work is not new. We saw it in the 1960s with the FBI’s efforts to demonize civil rights leaders. Before that was the McCarthy Era, when Senate and House-led witch hunts destroyed lives by accusing justice-oriented people of being subversive agents.
Unless we take immediate action, the damage from Trump's executive order will continue to grow and it will act as a powerful impediment to social progress and racial justice.
