In the first month of protests after George Floyd's death, drivers hit protesters 66 times. Today, Florida Governor DeSantis proposed removing any liability from drivers who cause injury or death by hitting or driving into protesters. His message couldn't be clearer.

Well, in that case, if a protester uses the stand your ground law in Florida to protect themselves and causes harm or death to the driver, it seems like they would have a really strong case. Gov. DeSantis's proposal is disgusting on so many levels!

Once again, our nation’s leadership demonstrates an inability to de-escalate any situation. The result is that more protesters will be armed in order to protect themselves and others from known terror-tactics involving vehicles.
