Kayla Moore was a Black transgender woman who was killed by Berkeley Police in 2013. Six officers suffocated her, and when she stopped breathing not a single officer performed potentially lifesaving CPR. Instead, the officer referred to Kayla as an "it." #SayHerName
Shelly Frey was shot and killed by an off-duty sheriff's deputy in 2012. The deputy shot Frey multiple times in the neck and then, after shooting her, failed to seek medical attention. Frey's body was left in her car for eight hours. #SayHerName
Decynthia Clements was shot and killed by a Elgin lieutenant who twice turned off his body camera, failed to call for an ambulance to help Clements when she was in crisis, and failed to provide any potentially lifesaving medical assistance after shooting Clements. #SayHerName
