    Has anyone had to cut a feature they really loved? 🤷‍♂️ I really loved this tactical build/recruit menu (even though it ain't pretty). But I feel this was a rabbit hole I dug too deep into. Might have to cut it ✂

    One of my favorite design tricks from Valve and the Source Engine is "displacement surfaces": they first build the level as a square, and then bend it into shape to seem more organic. Remember that climatic helicopter boss in Half-Life 2? Here's the arena, and how it was made!

    Such as here where I have these large decision and small decisions, but past the first 'root' large decision all take on the smaller font/formatting 🤷‍♂️
