Regardless, none of this would have happened today if two cars weren't basically pissing around at high speed in a race that meant absolutely nothing, I really really hope @OfficialBARCHQ and @CTCRC clamp down on this sort of behaviour.

The point of surrounding each post with fencing (usually reinforced with steel cables) is that it will stop an object hitting you straight on, not trap you in a situation from which there is zero escape. Scariest thing is it seems there's nothing else the person could have done.

MSV need to have a good look at all their facilities and make sure they're up to scratch because that crash could have happened at any part of the track

Also not very encouraging that the catch fencing didn't do its job, similar result from incident at Knockhill a couple of years ago at high speed but the fencing did its job completely and racing was able to continue. They're supposed to be reinforced enough that they don't crush

Totally avoidable incident causing needless loss of life at Brands Hatch, hopefully many lessons are learned from the organisations involved. None of this needed to happen, intentional door banging is dumb, isn't good racing and this can be the worst outcome.
