junior and mid-level staff are here, and we’re not backing down. Today’s Board decision is an absolute disappointment. It’s opaque, vague, and doesn’t come 𝙖𝙣𝙮𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 close to holding those who upheld racist, toxic, white supremacist structures to account.

I've been sharing how afraid I am that will use this moment to "thank Black women" and people of color, then go back to business as usual because there's a new administration. I cannot say this enough, NOW IS THE TIME TO CONTINUE TO INVEST IN LONG-TERM ORGANIZING.

I am so tired. We need to really make some changes around this “thank Black women” narrative. Yes, thank us, but also invest in us, ensure we run strategy, give us budgets, don’t cut us off in meetings, make changes when we call out anti-Blackness, shift how you do this work.

Hey. The Navajo Nation turned out and was crucial in flipping Arizona blue. Now they are going back into lockdown because of Covid. Don’t just thank us. Help. Looking at you woke tv shows who did 12 episodes about coronavirus but ignored the place MOST affected.

I want to speak directly to the Black women in our country. Thank you. You are too often overlooked, and yet are asked time and again to step up and be the backbone of our democracy. We could not have done this without you.
