    Trump lied in June that U.S. Steel was opening "six" plants. Then he made it "seven." Last week, at a meeting with inner city pastors, he said, "United States Steel just announced another two plants. They're up to eight." It is restarting blast furnaces at one plant.

    Just leaving this here. Nothing to add. No forest fires in California or flooding on the Eastern Seaboard. No reason at all to work to reduce our reliance on fossil fuels where we can... nope. Nothing to see here.

    Having taken a carbon tax off the table, now appears to be taking output based carbon pricing for big business emitters off the table. Consequence: Getting to Paris targets keeps getting harder although this is their stated policy goal.

    Irving refinery is very worried about impact as it sells so much product in US where there's no carbon tax. Wldn't be surprised if they get further breaks.
