Kavanaugh, Gorsuch and Trump’s pick for RBG’s seat will accelerate the pro-business economic libertarianism that has defined the courts for the last twenty some years, but we’ll hear nonstop about social issues from Democrats.

Trump can’t take on critical race theory. For all intents and purposes, he shares its fundamental belief that life is a zero-sum power game, that it’s okay to dehumanize your enemies, and that preying on people’s fears for the sake of power is fair game.

Unsanitized today is about the problem of putting COVID recovery responsibility in the hands of the Fed, whose choices predictably lead to an unbalanced distribution of relief upward. Cutting through the noise that's what this has always been about.

California's housing crisis is shaped in part by bad faith lawsuits from property owners delaying new homes, same dynamic doomed high speed rail. A forest-thinning project that could have saved lives from fires this month was delayed via similar concerns

Color blindness has become so controversial that there aren’t many who are willing to defend it as an ideal — even if the intellectual, moral & political case for it seems very solid. I'm hosting a Q&A on this topic for students, register your school >

By cultural I mean doing and saying things associated with conservative, working class, or rural demographics -- hunting, fighting, lewd jokes, political incorrectness, etc. These are all markers of non-urban, non-professional class pedigree.

Joe Rogan is politically liberal, through & through. But in many ways, he is *culturally* conservative. That's why he reveals elite liberals' game so well. For them, politics is just a conduit for culture war. If you fail on culture, you are the enemy. Politics is secondary.

White editors who claim their lucrative media jobs are a product of systemic racism always have the option to personally make amends for this injustice and resign, to clear the way for POC journalists they're depriving of opportunities. But they never seem to take this option 🤔
