    Captain Star was so enormously influential to me, I feel very lucky for the amount of wonderful and weird animation I got blasted with in Canada.

    Growing up in Canada we didn’t get a lot of American Cartoon Network touchstones but we did get weird British-Canadian productions like Captain Star, which in retrospect is really good
