Watched the Sandra Day O'Connor episode of AMERICAN EXPERIENCE (fantastic show I've watched for decades and no one talks about). It's terrible to watch the GOP slide from open theocracy under Reagan to a far worse state under W... and yet she remained loyal to such monsters.

The lying conservative SCOTUS justices who have spoken out against criticism of their rulings as political (despite that the vast majority of lawyers and legal experts disagree with those far-right rulings) should be impeached. Simultaneously, expand the motherfucking court.

Way behind on American Horror Story, but as someone who thought seasons 1-2 were a mess (glorious at times) and 4 a masterpiece, I thought season 5 (Hotel) was second-best only to 4. A consistent tone and a few throughlines will do wonders for all those crazy ideas.

Spent the evening updating the map of my creative output through 2034. Absurd, given how likely it is to change, yet useful to keep my mind focused on certain stories and themes. An OCD exercise, perhaps.

Anyone who claims the GOP is better for the economy or the stock market, when the party keeps playing Russian roulette with the *entire fucking economy* for no reason, is intellectually bankrupt. And that includes a lot of Wall Street types.

Just had a brilliant conversation about how the thing I want most is to be *fabulous*. Intricate conversation about genger and heroes / pioneers. Brought on by my purchase of shoes, which are insanely confortable and useful, yet not transgressive enough for my taste.

The Talking Heads song that haunts me the most, by far, is "(Nothing but) Flowers." I think of it daily, and wish I could live up to it.

“How to Analyze & Review Comics” from myself and Sequart is STILL a Top 10 book in Comics Criticism and Top 20 in Literary Criticism! Any reviews you can offer would be greatly appreciated!

I enjoyed Squid Game (very bingeable), but it really makes me long for a (2-season?) adaptation of Battle Royale.

I can think of few actions more damaging to the psyche than telling someone, especially as a child, their sexuality or identity is invalid or even evil.

Why don't people who are supposedly so concerned about government intrusion rail against lawn codes and zoning laws, instead of stuff like vaccines?

Can I get Michael Keaton Batman, Toby Maguire Spider-Man, and Patrick Stewart Professor X without the films in which they're embedded?
