    Just finished my first week of officially working part-time with at We met a decade ago, founded a company six years ago, and now we finally get to develop comics and games like it's a real job - because for the first time, it actually is. Overjoyed.

    ...only when the time was right. Do what you need to care for yourself and survive. It doesn't matter if the sign on your door says "barista", "communications officer" or "illustrator". If you're a creative at heart, you're a creative. That's all that matters.

    There's no "right" way to be a creative. Don't ever think less of yourself because you have to hold down a regular job just to make ends meet. Our regular jobs allowed us to find homes and a degree of security. We've been lucky. Regular jobs allowed us to make this leap...

    I should add, lest anyone think we got here through sheer charisma and creativity... this was possible because we've been slogging away in our regular jobs for a decade. There isn't a lot of money in comics, particularly indie ones. The security of our conventional jobs, while...
