    We have become a country of poor stewardship. And that’s on both parties. has the right idea. Instead of demagoguing Biden, let’s offer bipartisan reforms to incrementally strengthen the nation’s fiscal position.

    My latest. Congressional reform should not be something that gets done every 30 years. It should be a continuous process of updating the organization, processes and resourcing of the institution so it can well serve the American people.

    Student loan debt forgiveness likely has a multiplier close to zero. Forgiveness is taxable. If this negative cash flow effect outweighs interest savings would even be net negative. And wealth effect small in short run. Arbitrary/regressive $1T for ~$0 GDP, not a great idea.
